My day to day routine

My day to day routine.
During the season wheelchair basketball players have a lot on their plate. We have to balance being an athlete and our daily lives. Some are fathers who have to find to drive their kids to school and make it to practice. Others have part time jobs they have to schedule time for in between training. Personally I know the struggle of juggling a lot of things. It can be hard and exhausting. Im a wheelchair basketball player, youtuber, college student, worker, and a social guy that likes to hang out with friends. I heard a quote once “dreams take sacrifice” i never knew the meaning of that until I started playing ball. I get up early and go to bed late. Today I will tell you my day to day schedule and how I manage my crazy life
Most days I wake up at 4:20 am. I love getting up early and hate it at the same time. I feel super productive at the end of the day, but also very tiring. In the morning I get up and work out (if it’s game day or practice then I don't workout). To be a good athlete you have to put time in after practice. My coach says “if you want to be better than someone you have to put in more work than them. They’re sleeping in while you’re getting better. That’s how you win a championship.”
I take a shower after the workout and go get breakfast number two (i eat some fruit and drink a shake before a workout). At 7 I get on the computer to do some homework and check email . At 9 i get ready for work and don't come home till about 5 (somedays i go to practice instead of work). I eat, do some homework, and work on my YouTube video. At around 8:30 I start getting ready for bed and plan out the next day. At ten I go to sleep.
Being a wheelchair basketball player is exhausting, but it's worth it. I wouldn’t give anything up for it. When my career ends and i look back i want to know in my heart I gave everything I had to be the best i can be.
